About the Role

The Server at Muriale's Italian Kitchen is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting and attending to guests in a friendly and professional manner. They are knowledgeable about the menu, including Italian cuisine, ingredients, and common allergens, and are able to answer questions and make recommendations. The Server takes accurate orders, communicates them to the kitchen staff, and ensures that special requests and dietary restrictions are met. They serve food and beverages to guests promptly, maintaining a high level of attentiveness throughout their dining experience.

In addition to providing excellent service, the Server is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in their assigned section, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines. They handle cash transactions and use the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately, and they are responsible for balancing their cash drawer at the end of each shift. The Server works closely with other team members, including bussers, runners, and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. They are also required to address and resolve guest concerns, ensuring a positive and memorable dining experience at Muriale's Italian Kitchen.


  1. Education and Experience:

    1. High school diploma or equivalent.

    2. At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in an Italian or fine dining restaurant setting.

  2. Knowledge and Skills:

    1. Familiarity with Italian cuisine, ingredients, and common allergens.

    2. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

    3. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

    4. Proficiency in handling cash transactions and using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
