About the Role
The Bartender at Muriale's Italian Kitchen is responsible for creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for guests by preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They have a strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer, as well as familiarity with Italian beverages and wine pairings. The Bartender takes and processes drink orders, mixes and garnishes cocktails, and serves beverages in a timely manner. They maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines, and manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
In addition to preparing and serving drinks, the Bartender is responsible for processing cash transactions and using the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately. They also engage with guests, answering questions and making recommendations while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. The Bartender works closely with other team members, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure smooth and efficient operations and a positive guest experience at Muriale's Italian Kitchen.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1-2 years of experience in a bartending role, preferably in an Italian or fine dining restaurant setting.
Bartending certification or mixology training is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beer.
Familiarity with Italian beverages and wine pairings.
Proficiency in handling cash transactions and using Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A team player with strong problem-solving abilities.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
